Wings of Liberty centers around the Terrans, while the developments, Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void, center around the Zerg and Protoss, individually.

Like its archetype, the game rotates around three species: the Terrans (people), the Zerg (a super-types of absorbed life forms), and the Protoss (a mechanically progressed animal varieties with immense psionic powers). In March 2016, a mission pack called StarCraft II: Nova Covert Ops was delivered. A continuation of the 1998 computer game StarCraft and the Brood War extension pack, the game is part into three portions: the base game, captioned Wings of Liberty, a development pack, Heart of the Swarm, and an independent development pack, Legacy of the Void. It was delivered worldwide in July 2010 for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X.
